It was well over a year ago during the height of COVID pandemic when a friend and local business leader contacted me to see if our NY based metal ball chain manufacturing company would be able to manufacturer masks for local hospitals and the public. I knew we would not be able to make them here with our current machinery, so I politely said no. I did, however, want to help so we started doing some research on masks and the industry which led us to Powecom and their KN95 respirator mask, which was FDA Authorized at the time. I knew we would need to find a company with an extensive history of mask making and high quality, and Powecom met every criterion.

Our supply chain experience and business integrity led us to establish a direct relationship with Powecom which allowed us to handle all the warehousing, shipping and fulfilment ourselves here in NY. This simple, direct, strong and transparent supply chain meant that we would only receive and ship authentic masks directly from the factory to our customers. We never, ever, buy from middlemen, agents, or 3^rd parties. We never will.

We are a family owned business and have been since 1938 and our parent company (Ball Chain Mfg.) is the world's largest manufacturer of ball chains (www.ballchain.com) that you see on military dog tags, ceiling fans, handbags, light pulls, etc.. We make over 3 million feet of our ball chain per week, all here in the USA. Our company was started in a small garage in the Bronx, NY by my great grandfather and his son (my grandfather). We provide all the ball chains for the military and we take tremendous pride in everything we do. I was brought up to believe that you should treat people like you would want to be treated, keep your word and always do the right thing. This is how we approach our business as well.
