The Nation’s Leading Healthcare Professionals Encourage all Americans to #MaskUp — and Keep Doing So
As reported by Cleveland Clinic, 100 of the nation’s top, nationally ranked health care systems, “representing thousands of hospitals in communities across the U.S., have come together with an urgent plea for all Americans, because wearing a facemask is our best chance at slowing the surging COVID-19 pandemic now.”
The collaborative effort is called Every Mask Up and based on the premise that, “You have our commitment. Now we need yours.” The group of healthcare professionals notes that, “As America’s hospitals working to protect our communities, we ask each and every one of you to please help us slow the spread of COVID-19. We need your help to reduce the number of hospitalizations related to COVID-19. We need your help to keep our essential workers safe. We need you to help us all.”
The group is placing public service messages in newspapers around the country, on digital platforms, and more. These emphasize that, “The science has not changed. Masks slow the spread of COVID-19. So, please join us as we all embrace this simple ask: Wear. Care. Share with #MaskUp. Together, wearing is caring. And together, we are saving lives.”
