A little bit about us: In 1938, our great-grandfather and grandfather started Ball Chain Mfg. Co., Inc. in the garage behind their house in the Bronx, New York. We have a history of helping others in times of need. In World War II, our newly-formed company manufactured parts for the Thunderbolt fighter plane. In 2020, at the request of a local community leader, we formed Bona Fide Masks® to help address the shortage of PPE.
As 4th generation family owned and operated business, our mission is to bring authentic masks to everyone! We are a trusted U.S. military manufacturer that cares so much about our customers. We are proud that Bona Fide Masks™ is now the EXCLUSIVE distributor of Powecom ® KN95 products and Harley KN95 products in the U.S. and Canada. We are further proud to annouce our distribution partnership with DemeTech, a trusted US mask manufacturer.

POWECOM® KN95
Bona Fide Masks®, as of November 14th 2021, is designated by Guangzhou Powecom Labor Insurance Supplies Co., Ltd., the manufacturer of our KN95 respirator mask, as the EXCLUSIVE distributor of Powecom KN95 products in the United States. All of our Powecom ® KN95 respirators manufactured after May 20th come affixed with anti-fake stickers that allow the end user to verify authenticity.
You may have heard that the FDA recently revoked Emergency Use Authorizations (EUA) for KN95 masks, which are manufactured to Chinese standards. While KN95s are no longer authorized for healthcare workers given the abundant supply of N95 respirators, they are still appropriate for consumer use, and the Powecom KN95 efficacy (BFE) has tested similar to NIOSH approved N95s. The Powecom KN95 is of the highest quality.
